Ingredients:
2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (leave the tails on if serving as an appetizer, tails off if serving over rice)
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 T MSG
2 t Spiceology’s Vampire Killer
2 t smoked paprika
1 t salt
1 t black pepper
4 large eggs
2 cup panko breadcrumbs (we used PORQ Artisanal Fried Pork Rinds, Panko Crumbs)
1 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
2 T soy sauce
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Sweet Chili Dip Ingredients
1 cup sweet chili sauce
2 T lime juice
2 t soy sauce
1 t sesame oil
Sliced green onions for garnish
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, MSG, Vampire Killer, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
2. In another bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
3. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
4. Dip each shrimp first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each shrimp is well-coated.
5. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
6. Once melted, add the honey and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
7. Add the coated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and drain a baking sheet with a wire rack.
8. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
9. Garnish the dip with sliced green onions.
10. Arrange the crispy honey butter shrimp on a serving platter. D-rizzle with any remaining honey butter sauce from the skillet if desired.
11. Serve with the sweet chili dip on the side. This dish also goes well with steamed rice. Garnish with fresh parsley. ENJOY!
