Things to know:
What are Twice Baked Potatoes?
Twice-baked potatoes are delicious, loaded side dishes made by baking whole potatoes, mixing the scooped flesh with cheese, sour cream, butter, and bacon, or an endless list of other items and then baking them a second time.
What is the point of a twice baked potato?
The point of a twice-baked potato is to combine the crispy, sturdy shell of a baked potato with the rich, evenly mixed flavor of seasoned mashed potatoes.
What are some common mistakes to avoid when making twice baked potatoes?
Common mistakes when making twice-baked potatoes include overmixing the filling (making it gummy), using foil (which makes skins soggy), and skipping oil/salt on the skin. Avoid using waxy potatoes; Russets are best. Mash while warm with a potato masher, not a mixer, and leave a 1/4-inch shell for structure to prevent collapse.
Who makes Ninja kitchen appliances?
Ninja kitchen appliances are made by SharkNinja, an American product design and technology company. Founded in Montreal, Canada, in 1994 as Euro-Pro by Mark Rosenzweig, the company later relocated its headquarters to Needham, Massachusetts.
Are Ninja appliances good quality?
Ninja appliances offer good value and performance for their price, balancing multi-functionality with user-friendly design, though long-term durability can vary by product. We have multiple Ninja appliances (most notably, our beloved CREAMi) in our kitchen at The Oasis, Global Headquarters of the Galley of the Sun) and have had great results with all.
Why are Ninja products so good?
Ninja products are popular because they combine multi-functionality, intuitive design, and strong performance at a consumer-friendly price.
Ingredients:
3 Russet potatoes
4T of butter
1/4 cup of ranch dressing (we were out of sour cream…)
1/4 cup Garlic and Herb dip
4 pieces of bacon – cooked and chopped into bacon bits
1. Set your air fryer to Bake mode and preheat to 350F.
2. Once the air fryer is up to temperature, spray the outside of your potatoes with a neutral oil (I used avocado oil) and place them in the air fryer and cook for about 50 minutes.
3. Remove the potatoes from the air fryer, cut in half lengthwise and separate the potato from the skin.
4. Place the potato innards in a bowl and add your desired ingredients. The sky is the limit! Have some leftover chorizo sitting around? Throw it in! Have some salsa? Put it in the bowl. The only things I believe that have to be added are salt and pepper, butter and some kind of cheese. Be creative!
5. Mix potato innards and added ingredients together, then scoop into the potato skins.
6. Set your air fryer to air crisp mode at 400F. Once it comes to temperature, add your potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
7. Remove from air fryer, allow to cool and serve. ENJOY!
