Putting a Delicious Twist on An Iconic American Classic | Hatch Green Chile Jucy Lucy Burgers

The Jury Lucy is an iconic burger from Minnesota. We take that classic and add a Galley of the Sun twist: Hatch Green Chiles and Brown Sugar Bourbon Onions!

For the burger: 

2 pounds ground beef (we used aged ground beef

1/4 cup of diced fire roasted Hatch green chiles  

1 1/2 slices of white American 

 

1. Mix together the ground beef and Hatch green chiles 

2. Form 8 equal sized balls. 

3. Flatten 4 of the balls and add 1 1/2 slices of white American cheese (divide the slices into quarters first) and add to the center of the patty, being sure to leave room along the edges to form a seal. 

4. Flatted the other 4 balls, cover the cheese’d patties and form a seal all the way around the burger. 

5. Throw those puppies onto the griddle, add your favorite condiments (we added Kewpie Mayo and Brown Sugar Bourbon sautéed onions). 

6. Serve and ENJOY!
