Arizona White Sauce Smoked Chicken Sandwich

Love Alabama White Sauce? This sandwich will blow your MIND!

Chicken sandwiches have been the rage as of late in the fast food world. We take a classic sauce and put a Galley of the Sun twist on it to make an amazing chicken sandwich that will put the fast food entries to shame! Watch and find out: Is Alabama White Sauce just ranch?

Ingredients:

 

For the White Sauce

2 cups mayonnaise 

1/4 cup diced fire roasted hatch green chiles 

½ cup apple cider vinegar  

2 T lemon juice

1 T Worcestershire sauce 

2 t ground black pepper  

1 t salt  

1 t cayenne pepper  

1 to 2 t horseradish  

 

Directions

 

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, cover, and chill before serving. You can add additional apple cider vinegar for a thinner sauce with a bit more bite.

For the sandwich

1 brioche bun (toasted)

2 pieces crispy bacon

1 boneless, skinless chicken thigh, marinaded overnight in flavored brine (we used Sweetwater Spice Co Tres Chiles brine)

1 piece butter lettuce

 

Hatch Green Chile Alabama White Sauce

 

1. Place the chicken thighs in the smoker at 225F and smoke until they reach an internal temperature of 165F.

2. Toast the buns.  Place a good amount of White Sauce on the bottom bun

3. Add 2 pieces of bacon, then the chicken thigh, then lettuce and top with bun.

4. Serve and ENJOY!
