The Citizens of The Oasis

(Global Headquarters of the Galley of the Sun)

Michael

Born at a very early age in Kansas, Michael grew up in the Heartland.  At age 14, his passion for cooking began as he landed his first job as a dishwasher at a 12 course restaurant.  He reached the pinnacle of his professional culinary career at age 18 as an Assistant Manager of a Golden Corral Steakhouse.  Having reached those dizzying heights at such a young age, he decided to change careers and master another field, Nuclear Power.  After 30 years and 5 months (because 30 years is for quitters) as a Submarine Nuclear Operator in the US Navy, he and the citizens of The Oasis (global headquarters of the Galley of the Sun) moved to Arizona to live out their golden years in the Valley of the Sun.  Michael loves his Kansas City Chiefs, Mexican food and hates peas and the Raiders.

Gregg

Hailing from the St Louis area of Missouri, Gregg served in the US Navy as a Submarine Radioman for over 26 years.  Known for his sharp wit, IDGAF attitude and Wile E. Coyote like evil genius ideas, Gregg enjoys grilling, smoking meats and traditional comfort foods.  Though they left his home city, Gregg loves the Rams, the Foo Fighters, St Louis Style Ribs and Salisbury Steak.  He disdains the Seattle Seahawks, avocados and the smell of seafood due to a traumatic experience on a submarine involving scallops and an unknown refrigerant leak (the details remain highly classified).

Tammy aka The Director

Born in Kansas and mostly raised there with a stint or two in Oklahoma, Tammy is the only member of The Oasis Crew who does not have a passion for cooking, though she held lofty positions at McDonalds, Arby’s and Golden Corral.  Knowing she would need a high paying job to support Michael’s grill buying addiction, she ventured into the Medical field as a Registered Nurse and later, Director of Nursing Operations (hence “The Director”).  Tammy loves country music, her Kansas City Chiefs, NASCAR and Mexican food.  She dislikes when Michael buys grills, curry, octopus and the Raiders, which speaks very well to her character.

Charlotte

Born in the St Louis area, Charlotte began building her culinary skills at a young age.  Though she is a wizard with numbers and has an Accounting Degree, she is equally skilled in the kitchen.  A Master Baker and a Ninja CREAMi guru, Char loves to make people happy with her creations.  Charlotte loves English historical dramas, Greek food, and a perfect medium rare steak.  She is not a fan of spicy food, peanut butter and chocolate mixed together and the Seattle Seahawks.
