What are some easy holiday treats to make?

Easy holiday treats that require minimal effort include chocolate-dipped pretzels with sprinkles, 3-ingredient peppermint fudge, Oreo truffles, and no-bake Ritz cracker peanut butter sandwiches covered in chocolate. Other simple options are Christmas bark, reindeer cookies, Rice Krispie treats, and peppermint-topped white chocolate popcorn.

What country eats the most peanut butter?

China is the world’s top consumer of peanut butter by total volume, consuming approximately 3,958,000 metric tons in 2024. While the United States is a major consumer, China surpasses it in both total volume and per capita consumption (2.8 kg vs. 2 kg per person) due to its heavy use in sauces and dishes.

Who first invented peanut butter?

Modern peanut butter was not invented by one person, but rather developed by several inventors, most notably Canadian chemist Marcellus Gilmore Edson in 1884 and Dr. John Harvey Kellogg in 1895. While ancient Incas and Aztecs first created a peanut paste, it was these 19th-century patents that led to the modern product.

Why did Jiffy peanut butter change to Jif?

Jif peanut butter was never named “Jiffy” and did not change its name. The brand has been called Jif since its founding in 1958. The belief that it was once called “Jiffy” is a widely cited example of the Mandela Effect—a phenomenon of collective false memory.
