How to Make Annatto Infused Oil
If you love Mexican and Latin Food, at some point, you will need Annatto or Achiote Infused Oil. You can pay a pretty penny for it, or you can easily make it at home! Here we answer: What is annatto oil? How to make annatto infused oil?
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (about 3 oz.) annatto seeds
1. Place the oil and annatto seeds in a small sauce pan.
2. Heat under medium heat until the oil begins to bubble.
3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
4. Strain out the annatto seeds. Store the oil in a jar in a cool dark place. Oil will keep for 1-2 months.
