Hatch Green Chile Sausage Rolls

An Incredible Party Snack or Finger Food! Hatch Green Chile Sausage Rolls!

Another fantastic party or gathering appetizer!

Ingredients:

 

1 (1-lb) roll breakfast sausage , cooked and crumbled

1 (8-oz) cream cheese , smoked

1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies drained very well  

1/4 cup diced fire roasted Hatch Green chiles  

1/2 cup shredded cheddar

1 T diced chipotles in adobo  

2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent rolls

 

1. Brown the sausage and crumble finely (chucking the cooked sausage into a food processor and pulsing a few times will help with this).

2. Set your smoker to 180F.  Place cream temperature at room temperature in a glass bowl and place in the smoker for 1.5 hours.

3. Preheat your oven to 375F.

4. Mix together all of the filling ingredients.

5. Remove the crescent rolls from the can, separate into individual triangles.  With a pizza cutter or dough knife, cut each triangle in half lengthwise.

6. Place a tablespoon of filling onto the wide side of the crescent roll triangle, then roll towards the point.

Place the finished rolls onto a baking sheet.

7. Cook for 15-20 minutes until crescent roll is golden brown.

8. Serve and ENJOY!
