White Chocolate Blueberry Ice Cream
Blueberries are probably my favorite fruit. This recipe makes a killer dessert!
Things to know:
What country grows the most blueberries?
China grows the most blueberries in the world, producing over 500,000 tons annually, primarily for its massive domestic market. The United States and Peru follow closely behind as leading global growers and major international suppliers.
Where are most American blueberries grown?
Most American cultivated blueberries are grown in the Pacific Northwest and the South, with Washington, Oregon, and Georgia leading national production. For wild lowbush blueberries, nearly 100% of the U.S. commercial crop is harvested in Maine.
Who is the blueberry capital of the world?
Hammonton, New Jersey is widely known as the self-proclaimed “Blueberry Capital of the World”. The town produces roughly 80% of New Jersey’s blueberries across dozens of local farms, benefiting from the sandy and acidic soils of the surrounding Pine Barrens
What does Ninja Creami actually do?
The Ninja Creami works in reverse compared to regular ice cream makers. Instead of churning a liquid as it freezes, you freeze your ingredients solid in a pint cup for 24 hours first. Then, a heavy spinning blade shaves and whips that solid block into a smooth, creamy frozen treat in minutes.
Is the Ninja Creami actually worth it?
The Ninja Creami is worth it if you love customized, low-calorie, or high-protein ice cream and plan to use it regularly. We certainly do and have been using ours consistently for the past 4 years!
What is the lifespan of a Ninja CREAMi?
A Ninja Creami typically lasts 2 to 4 years with regular use. While many well-maintained units clear the 4-year mark, heavy daily spinning or processing extremely hard blocks of ice can cause motor strain, spindle wear, or overheating issues sooner. Ours is still running strong after 4 years of heavy use. It may be due to the fact that we allow our frozen mix to sit on the counter for about 10 minutes before “spinning” the ice cream in the CREAMi.
